Resilience and Helpseeking in Health and llness by and for the Elderly

This project is carried out by the researchers, Dr. Patria López de Victoria from the English department from the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey and Dr. Robert Schrauf from the Applied Linguistics department at The Pennsylvania State University.

The main purpose of this study is to explore how older adults, caregivers, and health or social care professionals residing in Cayey developed strategies to find or provide the necessary medical help after the passing of Hurricanes Irma and María and the pandemic of COVID-19.

 

Currently, this project is in the analysis phase of the data found in the interviews carried out
